White Girl Dance Moves

Late night. Late morning. “Guess I won’t exercise today!” I read something yesterday about excuses and priorities and changed my self-talk. “Exercising isn’t a priority.” That worked. I got it done.

I’ve been doing Cize using Beach Body On Demand. I haven’t been following the calendar program but doing each workout until I feel like I did a good job. I’ve also revisited some for fun. As I was struggling today to get the moves right, I was thinking to myself, “Man I must look silly! Here I am dancing in my ninja turtles pajama pants to a song I don’t like with a flabby postpartum belly and white girl dance moves…”

It doesn’t matter what time of day, where you are, how jiggly your belly is, what you wear, or the quality of your white dance moves. The time to do it is now. I never want to exercise but am always glad that I did once I’m done. So for those of you who are struggling to find the time and/or motivation – put on whatever you want, stop making excuses and make yourself a priority for 45 minutes. You are worth it!
